Michael D. Townsend, 68, a Carson Valley resident for 26 years, died Sept. 12 in Carson City.
Born Oct. 25, 1942 in Chico, Calif., to David L. and Jeanne M. Bryson Townsend, he worked for Harrah's Lake Tahoe for 16 years as a bingo supervisor. He enjoyed fishing and hunting.
Mr. Townsend was preceded in death by his parents and a grandson, Joseph.
He is survived by a son, Steven of Davis, Calif.; daughter and son in law, Michele and Jay Townsend of West Sacramento, Calif.; sister and brother-in-law, Diane and Larry Findley of Orangevale, Calif.; and two grandchildren.
There will be no local services.
