Elko High School scored 30 first-half points en route to a 30-2 season-opening win at home against Carson on Friday.
Aaron Holmes rushed for 92 yards on 12 carries to lead Carson offensively. As a team, the Senators rushed for 121 yards as a team and passed for 50 yards.
Carson's defense put two points on the scoreboard with a safety in the third quarter.
The Senators play their home opener on Thursday against Galena.
