Douglas boys soccer defeats Hug

DOUGLAS 4, HUG 0


The Douglas boys soccer team stayed in a strong position to earn a playoff spot in its win over Hug.


Henry Leon opened the scoring for Douglas on an assist from Josh Pratt and then Leon assisted on a goal by Chris Honer. Sam Forrester scored when he won a battle for a loose ball in front of the goal and Jeremy Curtis scored to finish the scoring for the Tigers. Goalie Chase Zumpft posted the shutout.


DAYTON 2, LOVELOCK 1


Gabe Malanche scored both goals for the Dayton boys soccer team in its win over Lovelock.


JUNIOR VARSITY


CARSON 7, GALENA 1


Eddie Lanuza scored four goals as the Carson junior varsity boys soccer team improved to 9-1.


Ernesto Ayala added three assists and Drew Anderson had a goal and an assist for Carson. Jeremiah Schenvel and Enrique Cid also scored and Kurt Schlicker had an assist as well for the Senators.
