Irene Roe McComb, 78, a Carson City resident for the past several years, died June 29, 2001, at her home. She was born Dec. 14, 1922, in Gordon County, Ga. to Milton David and Dixie Nelson Roe.
Before moving to Carson City, she lived in Georgia, Indiana and California.
She was preceded in death by her husband Clarence July 19, 1979 and brothers George Glenn Roe July 24, 1941 and Richard Elwood Roe Nov. 21, 1957.
Among her survivors are her nieces Glenda Wheeler of Nashville, Tenn., Dixie Joanna Roe of Chattanooga, Tenn. and Rosemary Huggard of Shelburne Falls, Mass. and nephews Richard L. Roe and Ted Roe, both of Georgia.
A memorial service and inurnment will be at a later date in Calhoun, Ga.
Cremation was at FitzHenry's Crematory.
FitzHenry's Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
