Winter bird festival at Morro Bay, Calif.

The fourth annual Morro Bay Winter Bird Festival will be held on Jan. 14-17.


Morro Bay is located about halfway between San Francisco and Los Angles on the scenic Central Coast of California.


It features pristine beaches, breathtaking state parks and nature reserves that attract all types of birds.


The bay is a designated state and national estuary, as well as a protected bird sanctuary.


The four-day Winter Bird Festival will include comprehensive workshops, fascinating field trips and all types of educational programs and demonstrations.


The festival is designed to appeal to bird watchers of all levels, with extensive activity choices and various participation levels offered to the general public.
