Two players land on Big West team

Two Nevada volleyball players, sophomore Kellie LaBossiere and freshman Michelle More, were named to the 1999 All-Big West Women's Volleyball team on Wednesday.

Selected by the Big West Conference head coaches, LaBossiere was named to the Big West second team and More was named to the All-Freshman team.

LaBossiere, a 5-foot-11 middle blocker from Del Mar, Calif., established career highs in kills (386), attacks (947), kill percentage (.247), digs (285) and blocks (82).

More, a 6-1 middle blocker from Torrance, Calif., broke the Nevada record for block assists in a season with 101, surpassing Liz Locke's mark set in 1993. Her 23 block solos this season ties her for seventh in the record book with one match to play.

Nevada will close out its season on Nov. 23 at Cal-Berkeley.
