The Nevada Wildlife Federation recently announced the statewide winners in its 1999 Poster Contest.
Among the winners were:
Grades 1-2: First place, Tyson Pontes of Seeliger Elementary School in Carson City, Grades 3-4: Second place, Seth Nuti of Smith Valley Elementary School in Lyon County.
Grades 5-6: First place, Spenser Thomas of Kingsbury Middle School in Douglas County.
Grades 7-8: First place, Garrett Hostetler of Pa-Wa-Lu Middle School in Douglas County.
Primary Special Education (Grades 1-4): First place, Kaila Fraker of Dayton Elementary School in Lyon County. Second place, Rene McCauley of Gardnerville Elementary School in Douglas County.
Special Education (Grades 5-8): First Place, Jessica Park of Gardnerville Elementary School in Douglas County. Fourth place, Kevin Kerwin of Yerington Intermediate School in Lyon County.
