A graveside service for Margaret E. Atkins, 79, a Gardnerville resident for the past year, will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Newton Cemetery in Newton, Utah.
Mrs. Atkins died Nov. 3, at Valley Meadows Living Center. She was born Nov. 30, 1919, in Logan, Utah, to George and LaVonne Barker Ecklund.
She married Roland U. Atkins in March of 1946 in Tijuana, Mexico.
Before moving to Gardnerville, she lived in Yerington.
Mrs. Atkins was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Yerington.
Among her survivors are her husband, Roland, of Sparks; sons, Edward Stauffer, of Duluth, Minn., and Keith Stauffer, of Sparks and Ricky Roland, of Las Vegas; daughter, Georgette Maddox, of Carson City; nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
FitzHenry's Carson Valley Funeral Home, Gardnerville, is in charge of arrangements.
