Nevada Day entry deadline Oct. 11

The last day to submit an entry for the Nevada Day parade is Oct. 11, but entrants need not wait that long.

The Oct. 30 parade through downtown Carson City, celebrating the birth of Nevada as a state, will be limited to about 200 entries, according to the Nevada Day Committee. About 100 already had signed up by Thursday.

For entry information, call the Nevada Day Committee at 882-2600. Cost depends on the category, from $35 to $100 for political entries.
