Food drive set for Nov. 6-13

The annual "Scouting for Food Drive" will be Nov. 6-13 in the Gardnerville and Carson City area.

On Saturday, scouts will deliver door hangers bearing details of their food drive, residents are asked to donate non-perishable food items and/or paper items, such as paper towels, toilet tissue, diapers etc. The cubs will distribute flyers and bags for good used winter clothing. On Nov. 13, the scouts and cubs will return to collect the contributions. Donations should be outside your front door before 9 a.m.

Foods items will be donated to the Carson Valley Community Food Closet and FISH. Clothing items will be donated to Project Santa Claus. This year's event is sponsored by US Bank.
