The Rotary Club of Carson City, a donor for many years to Western Nevada Community College, has been honored by having a campus plaza named in its honor.
"Rotary has donated thousands of dollars over the years to our scholarship fund," said Helaine Jesse, dean of Institutional Advancement. "Rotary is now making a special $12,000 grant to the WNCC Foundation to help fund the Donald W. Reynolds Center for Technology Endowment Fund."
The Reynolds Center is a regional, state-of-the-art facility that offers educational advancement for students who can then use their trade skills in the local job market.
