John Rudy Aspen, 75, died July 13, 2000 at Carson-Tahoe Hospital. Mr. Aspen had lived in the Carson City area for the past 30 years.
A Catholic, he was born March 27, 1925 in Tampico, Mexico to Alphonso Arvilla and Ana Isabel Valdez.
Mr. Aspen was a past employee of the Carson Valley Inn. He was named employee of the month in 1989, and retired in 1995. He loved the mountains, and enjoyed spending time there. He also collected western movies, played the guitar, and wrote and recorded his own music. Mr. Aspen loved being surrounded by his family.
He is survived by his wife Isabel of Carson City, sons Oscar Arcos and Desi Arcos of Carson City, Juan Arcos and Enrique Arcos of Gualajara Mexico, Jose Arcos of Las Vegas, Benito Arcos of Phoenix, Arizona, and a daughter Alma Rosa McDonald of Los Angeles, California.
No services will be held.
Walton's Sierra Crematory is in charge of the arrangements.
