George John Osif, 72, a Carson City resident for the past 27 years, died July 2, 2000, at his residence. He was born May 19, 1928, in Hazelton, Pa., to Michael Osif.
Before moving to Carson City he lived in Washington state.
Mr. Osif had served in the military. He loved to play golf and enjoyed bowling and fishing. He served in the U.S. Air Force.
Among his survivors are his wife Kay Kiser of Carson City; son Gary of Mark Twain; daughter Jennifer of Carson City and brother Robert of Aurora, Colo.
Cremation will be at Walton's Sierra Crematory.
Inurnment will be at Walton's Carson Gardens Cemetery.
Walton's Chapel of the Valley, Crematory and Cemetery is in charge of arrangements.
