Frances Elinore Alt, 82, a Carson City resident for the past nine years, died Oct. 2, 2000 at Carson Healthcare. She was born Nov. 5, 1917, in Los Angeles, to Francis M. and Mabel Anderson Wright.
Before moving to Carson City, she lived in Long Beach, Calif.
Mrs. Alt was a homemaker and also worked as a bookkeeper and an office manager. She was a hospice volunteer in Carson City and enjoyed gardening, traveling and reading. She was a Presbyterian.
She was preceded in death by her husband Alfonso in 1992.
Among her survivors are her daughter Karen M. Rader of Minden; stepdaughter Joan Maddison of Orange, Calif.; sons Carl W. Lind of Bishop, and James F. Lind of Fairfield, Iowa; sister Marjorie LeGassick of Camarillo, Calif.; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Cremation will be at Walton's Sierra Crematory.
Walton's Douglas County Mortuary, Minden, is in charge of arrangements.
