Paul Cagle III of Indian Hills won his boys 8- and 9-year-old age group during the NFL Punt, Pass and Kick Regional Team Championships hosted Sunday night by the Oakland Raiders.
Cagle was one of five Carson City/Douglas County area entries in an event that attracted a total of 40 participants from Northern Nevada and California.
Blake Davidson of Carson City also placed third in the boys 8-9 division, Savannah Flansburg of Carson City was fourth in the girls 8-9 division, Matt Rutledge of Carson City fourth in the boys 10-11 division and Loretta Cagle fourth in the girls 10-11 division.
Paul Cagle has a chance to qualify for the National Punt, Pass and Kick national finals, which will be held Jan. 6 at the site of a NFL playoff game. Each of the five local area participants received plaques as well as Raiders team memorabilia.
