A funeral for Jason Koehler-Simon, 14, a lifetime Mound House resident, will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Good Shepherd Wesleyan Church, 1505 Railroad Drive.
Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Thursday at Fitzhenry's Funeral Home.
Jason died Aug. 12, 2001 at his home. He was born Nov. 12, 1986, in Carson City to Merrill and Roberta Baumann Simon.
Jason attended Dayton Intermediate School. He participated in the Special Kids Rodeo every year. He enjoyed listening to music and loved roller coasters and horseback riding. He was a member of the Wreck Club of Carson City. He attended both Good Shepherd Wesleyan and Carson City Church of the Nazarene.
He was preceded in death by his brother Malachi in July 1997.
Among his survivors are his parents Merrill and Roberta Simon of Mound House; brothers, Michael, Maxwell, Justin, Marshal, Jesse, Jeremy, Micah and Mordachi and sisters Mallory and Lisa Marie, all of Mound House; maternal grandparents Robert and Sandy Baumann of Dallas and paternal grandparents Jim and Gayle Simon of Barstow, Calif.
Burial will be at Lone Mountain Cemetery.
FitzHenry's Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
