Meet at Maxey Pass at 5:30 p.m. for a jaunt to the top of Red Peak.
This is a roundtrip of 4 miles with an elevation gain of 500 feet.
Picnickers can join the group at 7:30 p.m. at the nearby Dandini Gardens.
Dogs are OK on leashes.

Bag one of the highest mountains in the Carson Range.
Located on the south rim of the Tahoe Basin.
A 10 mile trip with an elevation gain of 3,000 feet. This one is quite difficult.
The first half is on the Tahoe Rim Trail but the summit assault is all cross-country.
Dogs are OK on leashes.
