Henness Pass trip this weekend

The annual Henness Pass Road Trip for four-wheel drive vehicles will be held on Saturday and Sunday.

That ride will take participants on the Henness Pass Road from Marysville, Calif. to Virginia City. The road stretches from Nevada over the Sierras, via Henness Pass, down the ridge between the North and Middle Forks of the Yuba River and to its junction with routes into Yuba and Nevada Counties.

The two-day trip is specifically designed as an overnight camping trip for SUV owners and families, looking for a scenic and mild four-wheel drive through the beautiful Sierras. It offers moderate four-wheeling experiences and one that provides participants an opportunity to visit many historic points of interest.

The cost for the trip is $135 per adult and $50 per child, ages 7-14. There is no charge for children under seven.
