Genoa, Nev. — Gardnerville resident Shawn Peterson has a winning Belgian sheepdog at the Westminster Kennel Club annual dog show from Monday. From what I can tell on the schedule, Gardnerville Labrador retriever breeder Laura Dickenson is showing her dog, Candyview's Harvest Moon, today with the sporting dogs. Almost 40 percent of Douglas County's 435 high school seniors who graduated last spring received advanced or honors degrees, according to a report scheduled for today's school board meeting. Of 497 total seniors, 62 didn't graduate with their class. School board trustees meet 4 p.m. at the Airport Training Center.

Planning commissioners have a stack of zone changes to match master plan amendments approved last year. The planning commission meets 1 p.m. at the historic Douglas County Courthouse in Minden.
