East Fork Gallery member and local artist Vickie Kingman will be adding a second class to her usual monthly watercolor classes.

The month of April will begin with her usual Tuesday watercolor class.

Classes are from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. beginning April 5 at the UNR Extention Building in Gardnerville.

Unlike previous months that focused on techniques related to the painting of flowers or the use of color blending, April’s classes will allow painters to choose their own subject but focus on using large brushes and color review.

Kingman will also be adding an oil painting class to her monthly instruction.

The oil painting class is experimental and will be open to beginners.

The class will meet three Thursdays beginning April 14.

They will meet 10 a.m.-1 p.m. at the UNR Extension Building.

“It will cover a basic approach and introduction to painting with oils,” Kingman said.

To reserve a spot and to get a materials list call Kingman at 265-0320.
