Museum hosts fiber arts demonstration

Carson Valley Art Association hosts display at the Douglas County Public Library through March 30.

The Jobs Peak Fiber Arts group will present a hands-on demonstration of the martial and techniques used in the family craft 10 a.m.-1 p.m. April 2, at the Carson Valley Museum & Cultural Center, 1477 Highway 395, Gardnerville. Carson Valley Art Association is presenting an art show opening April 2 and running through April 30 at 88 Cups and More, 1665 Lucerne Street in Minden Village. The show opens with a coffee reception 10:30 a.m. April 2. Art will be on display until April 30. Hours are 7 a.m. – 4 p.m. Monday – Friday and 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. Saturdays. Carson Valley Arts Council hosts artist reception for Nancy Raven, Carolyn Denning and Cheyenne McAfree 5-7 p.m. Friday at Copeland Gallery, 1572 Highway 395, Minden.
