Minden’s Carson Valley Inn celebrates 31st year
The Carson Valley Inn is celebrating its 31st birthday with champagne, cake and a free concert on Saturday.
The Davisson Brothers Band will perform from 7:30 to 10:30 p.m. in TJ’s Corral
“The energy, talent and enthusiasm that the Davisson Brothers Band brought to TJ’s Corral during their June concert was so well-received that we just had to bring them back so more people could enjoy them,” CVI’s Joey Whitacre said “We were most pleased when they agreed to perform for our 31st birthday party and what better birthday present for the community than a free concert by a top-notch Nashville band.”
“The Davisson Brothers Band has a unique style, fusing a blend of country, southern rock and bluegrass to create a distinctive sound,” according to their website. “Their remarkable sound, combined with the band’s talent and energy, has gained them an incredibly loyal and rapidly growing fan base. Brothers Donnie and Chris Davisson, cousin Sammy Davisson, and life-long best friend Aaron Regester are continuing musical pursuits started by the Davisson family long ago. In DBB, one can’t help but hear the resounding influence of a life raised in music. Their song lyrics and sound tell powerful stories of their family history and lifestyle in West Virginia, and is sure to gain a nationwide following. The band recently worked with acclaimed producer Keith Stegall on their first national single ‘Jesse James.’”
Prior to the concert, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. in TJ’s Corral, free popcorn and ice cream will be available along with $1.50 hot dogs, $2 hamburgers, $2 water and sodas and $5 draft beer.
Inside the Carson Valley Inn casino on Saturday free cake and champagne will be served from 2 to 3 p.m. Free birthday t-shirts will be distributed at random times throughout the day while supplies last and INN Club members earn triple points from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. There will also be drawings for up to $5,000 in the casino at 2, 4, 6 and 8 p.m.
