Little Miss and Mr. Douglas County Pageant is looking for contestants for the 2016 competition.

Entries are currently being taken for the pageant that will take place Feb. 20 at 1697 County Road in Minden.

There are eight categories for entrants ranging in age from newborn to 17 years old.

Contestants up to 5 years old will compete in modeling party wear only.

Contestants 6 and up will compete in three categories: interview that consists of two minutes with judges, model of a long or short party dress/attire, and talent at a two minute time limit.

Age categories include (based on entries): Baby Miss, 0-23 months; Wee Miss, 2-3 years; Tiny Miss, 4-5 years; Baby Mr., 0-5 years; Little Miss, 6-8 years; Petite Miss, 9-11 years; Junior Miss, 12-14 years; Teen Miss 15-17 years.

Additional photogenic and outfit of choice competitions are available for contestants, at additional costs.

The photogenic contest will require a photo no larger than an 8×10 be submitted the day of the competition.

The outfit of choice will be a 90 second maximum routine to music provided by the pageant.

Winners of each age category will receive a crown, sash and gift.

Each participant will receive a tiara and gift.

All contestants will be invited to ride on the Little Miss Douglas County Carson Valley Days parade float in June.

Entry fee for the pageant is $80.

Admission fee for spectators is $10.

The photogenic and outfit of choice competitions are $25 each.

No checks will be accepted after Feb. 13.

The Baby Miss and Little Mr. Pageants for girls and boys up to 5 years will begin at 10 a.m.

The Miss Pageant for girls 6-17 years old will begin at 1 p.m.
