Historic Barns. DCHS is hosting a tour of historic barns of the Carson Valley Saturday. The tour runs from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and includes six barns, an ice cream social plus free admission to both the Carson Valley Museum and Genoa’s Courthouse Museum. Tickets are $25 for general admission and $20 for DCHS members. They are available at the Carson Valley Museum and Cultural Center, 1477 Highway 395, Gardnerville or at 782-2555. GadZooks Art show. An art show featuring Teri Sweeney will be on display through June 30 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday at GadZooks Gallery, 1411 Highway 395 Gardnerville. A special reception will be held 4-7 p.m. June 23. Information, (775) 782-9665 or gadzooksnv.com.
Family Concerts. The Hollywood Stones, a Rolling Stones tribute band, performs at the second concert in the GE Family Summer Concert Series 6-8 p.m. today at Minden Park.
Family Movie. E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial (rated PG) will show 2 p.m. Saturday at the Minden Library. The Minden Library is showing family movies every Saturday in June in the meeting room. The movies and fresh popcorn are free. Information, douglas.lib.nv.us or 782-9841.
Hollywood Trains. Jim Clark will speak about trains in Western movies 10 a.m. Saturday at the Dangberg Home Ranch, 145 State Route Highway 88, Minden. Free.
