The high school play “Brother Against Brother,” given at the auditorium Tuesday night, was largely attended and was the best play ever staged at the school. Frank and Martin Bennett, brothers, divided by the Civil War, were portrayed by Fred Dressler and Norman Brown.

Mrs. Stella Johnson was hostess to the members of the Gardnerville Woman’s Literary Club Monday evening. Roll call was responded to in the usual manner with current topics, also written suggestions were handed in to the secretary for the program committee of next year.

Nevada will be the first state immune from polio on Sunday, May 5, if the K.O. Polio plans for that date are successful. Clinics to administer type III Sabin oral vaccine will be set up on May 5 in every county but Clark. It is hoped that about 150,000 Nevadans will take that vaccine on that Sunday. Some 1,500 volunteers will administer the type III vaccine at the clinics in 16 of the 17 counties. Clark County residents already have received the type III Sabin polio vaccine.

The Washoe County Senior Citizens Service Center announced today that the Third Annual Silver State Senior Olympics will take place on May 14 though June 4. All participants must be 50 years of age or older by May 14, and must reside in Northern Nevada.
