While attempting to cross the creek above Settelmeyer’s ranch, Saturday, Jas. Fisher, the stage driver had a rather wet experience. The culvert was washed out by the high water and when Fisher started to ford the stream, horses and all were completely submerged, but the driver managed to get out with his team.

Carson Valley was bounced around by a sharp earthquake last Tuesday at 12:18, which made frame buildings creak and caused electrical fixtures to swing back and forth.
