Art goes on display this weekend
Charles Muench welcomes the community to view some of his new paintings, prints, and postcards along with his wall of “Big Little Paintings” during his Holiday Studio show 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at his Ruhenstroth studio.
The “Big Little Paintings” featuring 6-inch by 8-inch paintings with “big concepts.” These paintings can be purchased from the studio and through his website.
Muench has been painting for as longs he can remember.
“It has always been an interest that turned into a passion, which turned into my life,” he said.
He said much of the inspiration for his work has come from the experiences and regions he has lived in.
“My work has taken me all over,” said Muench. “I’ve been to New York, Madrid, Markleeville and now the Carson Valley.”
Muench has lived and worked in the area for 15 years. Some of his works on display include views of Jobs Peak in the fall, Virginia City in the winter, Lake Tahoe and more.
“That’s really what brought me to the area,” he said. “It’s nice to live in an area where inspiration is right out your door.”
Muench said he welcomes the community to stop by and view his work.
“It’s just nice to open to the community and invite everyone,” he said. “It’s an open studio to get to know the community and have them view some work.”
The Holiday Studio show will be 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, located at 1876 Arabian Lane. Information, Charles@charlesmuench.com or call, 265-4454.
