Winter break Lego challenge returns

Staff Reports

Following a library tradition of encouraging children to come into the library over the winter break, Douglas County Public Library is hosting their Lego Building Challenge.

Children are encouraged to use their Lego or Duplo bricks and elements to build a toy or game.

Creations should be brought to the Minden or Zephyr Cove libraries between Dec. 14 and noon Jan. 2.

Lego prizes will be awarded to the first- and second-place winner in each age category.

Children and adults may participate; one entry per person.

Children under age four must use Duplo bricks.

Winners of the contest will be announced Jan. 13.

The Lego Building Challenge is sponsored by the Friends of Douglas County Public Library.

Both branches of the library are participating in the challenge.

Winning entries will be displayed at the Minden library through Jan. 30.

Complete rules and entry form are available at the Minden and Zephyr Cove libraries and online at
