Logan Whittington, 5, shows off his battleship last year at the Douglas County Public Library.

"Every Hero Has a Story" is the theme for the summer reading program at the Douglas County Public Library. They will have a Tuesday building club every week through July 21.

The library will provide Lego Bricks for program use. Children attending the building club will learn tips and tricks to build projects based on a story read to them that day.

The building club, for children ages 6 and up, takes place from 3-4 p.m.

An additional brick building program, Brick Play, for ages 6-12 takes place from 4-5 p.m.

"This program encourages children to use imagination and exchange ideas with other creative builders," organizers said.

The Douglas County Public Library is located at 1625 Library Lane in Minden. Find them on Facebook and Twitter, visit douglas.lib.nv.us, or call 782-9841.
