Teri Sweeney hosts open studio Dec. 13-14
Nationally recognized oil and watercolor painter, Teri Sweeney, will be hosting her fifth annual open studio Dec. 13-14.
The open studio offers local art collectors the opportunity to purchase Sweeney’s latest original artwork, as well as prints and cards, directly from the artist. This year, Sweeney will also be presenting a preview of two miniatures that will be shown in February at the Settlers West Miniature Show in Tucson, Ariz. The show showcases work of the top western artists in the country, including such names as Howard Terpning, Mian Situ and Andy Thomas. This is Sweeney’s debut year at the show. Along with this preview, Sweeney will also be offering some paintings at discounts and will hold a blind auction for one of her paintings.
A full time artist, Sweeney also teaches weekly art classes in Gardnerville and South Lake Tahoe and workshops throughout the west. During the open studio visitors can view her new classroom and studio spaces.
The open studio will be held at 720 Addler Road from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Dec. 13 and noon-4 p.m. Dec. 1.
