Main Street Gardnerville is honoring Douglas High School photography students for their work in the current “Sidewalk Gallery” display.

A reception is 5:30-7 p.m. Sept. 19.

“It’ll also be a great opportunity for the students to talk about their craft and possibly sell prints of their work,” organizers said.

The reception will be at the site of the gallery at the vacant building on the corner of Eddy Street and Highway 395 in Gardnerville.

Photography on display is provided by the following students from teacher K.C. Brennan’s photography classes: Olivia Abbott, Taylor Arthur, Ashley Benally, Morgan Crimm, Daija Curey, Shelby Ence, Kelsey Endter, Kelsey Fraser, Alexandra Hamblin, Savannah Lowther, Cecilia Morton, Alyssa Rickard, Carmen Shaw, Lisa Swab and Colton Witt.

“The hopes of this project are two-fold, to showcase the exceptional talent of our local students and to provide a vacant building with a purpose,” organizers said.
