‘Jumanji’ shows for first movie in the park

The 10th season of Movies in the Park will open on Friday at dusk in Heritage Park with “Jumanji.”

Residents, friends and visitors can bring a picnic or enjoy the snacks provided by the Lions Club/ Girl Scout Troop, Pizza Factory Minden, Lalee Pops and the Douglas High Music Boosters.

On July 10 catch “Remember the Titans,” on July 31 enjoy “How to Train Your Dragon 2” and the final movie of the summer season on Aug. 21 will be “Guardians of the Galaxy.”

Sponsors for this year’s Movies in the Park include Bodywise Physical Therapy, Center for Advanced Eyecare, CLE Hospitality (Historian Inn), D’Ascoli Orthodontics, Grand Prix Car Wash, Mark Smith Tire Center (Les Schwab), Parigini Orthodontics, ReMax Realty Affiliates and Starbucks Carson Valley Roasting Plant and Distribution Center.
