Eddie Money concert benefits Boys & Girls Club
“Everything I do, I do it for you.” Eddie Money says it at least once every show and he’ll really mean it on June 21 when he appears in the outdoor TJ’s Corral at the Carson Valley Inn with all revenues benefiting the Boys & Girls Clubs of Western Nevada, Carson Valley Branch.
“This straight up rock and roll icon has been making music and delivering it to his fans since the mid ’70s, and wouldn’t have it any other way,” promoters said. “With hits like ‘Two Tickets To Paradise,’ ‘Baby Hold On,’ ‘Walk On Water,’ ‘Think I’m In Love’ and ‘Shakin,’ Eddie continues to be one of the hardest working men in rock and roll.”
Eddie has recorded over a dozen albums of his own, and has done numerous projects in television and film.
David Spade’s 2001 film “Joe Dirt” featured Money as Joe Dirt’s rock and roll idol. He has turned up as Mimi’s ex-husband in an episode of “The Drew Carey Show.”
He’s currently working on theme songs for Arena Football and Major League Baseball.
The doors open at 6:30 p.m. and a live auction at 7 p.m. will include items such as a VIP trip for two to the 2015 Academy Of Country Music Awards in the AT&T Stadium in Dallas, a VIP trip for two to Del Mar Race Track, a VIP trip for two to an Atlanta Falcons game as a guest of Coach Mike Tice, a purebred lab puppy and more.
“We have been most fortunate over the last three years to have our club be the beneficiary of the annual Mike Tice Charity Golf Weekend,” said Shannon Harris, Branch Director for Boys & Girls Clubs of Western Nevada, Carson Valley Branch. “To have this Eddie Money concert added on the same weekend is another incredible show of community support from Coach Tice, Mike Pegram and the Carson Valley Inn.”
All auction revenues also benefit the Boys and Girls Club of Western Nevada’s Carson Valley Branch.
The concert starts at 7:30 p.m. and tickets are available at http://www.carsonvalleyinn.com.
