By definition improvisation is the act of performing, inventing, or composing with minimal or no preparation.

The Douglas High School Improv Club will be having their first shows of the year at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 6, 7, 13, and 14 in the DHS drama room.

“Improv is a very valuable tool for all aspects of life,” said Keaton Peters, Improv Club captain, “Taking a test, making a poster, planning a wedding. So, to improv is to live.”

Tickets are $5 presale, $7 students, seniors, and staff, and $10 general admission at the door.

The club has two Improv captains, Justine Dale and Keaton Peters, “The Improv master,” according to sophomore Joe Campbell.

Peters did his first improv show at 11 years old, and started doing improv regularly last year.

“Our synopsis is that things will be made up,” said Peters.

Each comedy show will be unique, featuring different games and actors.

Last year the club had three shows, but this year there may only be two due to time constraints.

“It will be hilarious, uplifting, you will support your local DHS Drama program, and there will be food,” said Peters.

Refreshments will be served for an additional cost.
