CV Pops announces 2016 concert schedule

Carson Valley Pops Orchestra has announced their schedule of performances for the rest of 2015 and 2016.

To celebrate co-conductors Bill Zabelsky and Stephanie Reynolds will lead the Carson Valley Pops Orchestra on Oct. 24 for the annual Autumn Concert.

The annual Autumn Concert at 7 p.m. at the CVIC Hall will feature such pieces as “The Phantom of the Opera March”, “The Pit and the Pendulum”, “March to the Scaffold” from Symphony Fantastique and “The Barber of Seville.”

Be sure to come early to participate in the raffle and enjoy a glass of wine or beer.

The Carson Valley Pops Orchestra is a 501©3 organization made up of musicians in the community who donate their time and talent to provide free concerts to Carson Valley.

There are about 35–40 members consisting of both amateur and professional musicians and middle school, high school and college students as well.

CV Pops has awarded scholarships to graduates the last 3 years.

All performances are at the CVIC Hall at 7 p.m. unless otherwise noted and are free to the public.
