The sixth annual Cowboy Mardi Gras fundraiser to benefit Austin’s House is Feb. 28 at the Carson Valley Inn

The party starts at 6 p.m. with a cocktail hour. Then guests will feast on a western barbecue buffet dinner featuring tri-tip beef, pulled pork and mesquite rubbed chicken with all the trimmings. Beer, wine and cocktails are also available.

“Put on your jeans and cowboy hat to celebrate the party atmosphere of Bourbon Street in New Orleans on Fat Tuesday,” organizers said. “This casual and crazy fundraiser features great food, music, dancing, fun games, raffle prizes, and a silent auction.”

After dinner, the Cowboy Mardi Gras party hits full stride with music, dancing and fun games. Raffle prizes will be drawn every 15 minutes.

“The fabulous silent auction has wonderful donated prizes from local businesses,” organizers said. “It is a terrific evening of fun and laughter for a great cause.”

There will be a grand prize drawing for a Disneyland vacation package valued at $1,048. The package includes four Disneyland Resort Park Hopper tickets worth $137 each to visit both Disneyland Park and the Disney California Adventure Park, plus a $500 Visa card for expenses. You need not be present at the Cowboy Mardi Gras to win the grand prize. Grand prize tickets are $20 each from Austin’s House or from any member of the Board of Directors.

Tickets are $50. Tables of 10 are available for $500. Only 250 tickets will be sold.

Call Austin’s House at 267-6711 to order tickets. Visa and MasterCard are accepted.
