Christmas concert benefits high school music program

Kick off your holidays with a community Christmas concert Dec. 13 at St. Gall Catholic Church Pastoral Center in Gardnerville.
Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. and concert will begin at 7 p.m.
The concert is free with any donations going to the Douglas High School Music Program.
“This is the first community-wide holiday concert of its kind,” said Brian Fitzgerald, president of the Carson Valley Arts Council. “We are happy to be showcasing our talented, local youth. Hopefully, it will become a community holiday tradition.”
The evening will include performances by the Douglas High School Concert Band, Women’s Choir, Madrigals and Jazz Band.
The concert is co-sponsored by the Carson Valley Arts Council and the Douglas High School music program.
