Children’s book to benefit wounded soldiers

Cindy Farmer, one of Northern Nevada’s most delightful children’s author and illustrator, will be releasing three new children’s books at the Genoa Candy Dance festival.

Cindy will be on hand to sign and personalize these books. She is dedicating a percentage of the proceeds to the Nevada Military Support Alliance, an organization that serves Nevada’s wounded soldiers and the families of fallen soldiers.

This fundraiser is being hosted by Esther Chapter No. 3 of the Order of the Eastern Star, which is holding a bake sale and sapphire jewelry drawing on behalf of NMSA.

Please support Nevada’s wounded soldiers. Both Farmer and Esther Chapter can be found on the front porch of the Masonic Lodge – 2286 Main Street – the big red brick building with the big G at the corner of Genoa Lane and Main Street.

The Lodge, Douglas No. 12, is holding a pancake breakfast on Saturday and Sunday mornings.
