Celebrities dance for suicide prevention

​Suicide Prevention Network of Douglas County presents the second annual “Gotta Dance” fundraiser.

​The Carson Valley’s version of “Dancing with the Stars” is March 21 at the Saint Gall Community Center.

A no-host bar will start off the evening at 6 p.m., followed by appetizers at 6:30 and the show beginning promptly at 7:30. ​

Each dancer is competing for trophies in first, second and third place based on the judges score and on monies raised by them, which can be from sponsorships, ticket sales or donations.

In addition, supporters can go online to Suicide Prevention Network’s website,www.suicidepreventionofdouglascounty.org, and vote for their favorite dancer by purchasing virtual dancing dollars. They can also come by the office, 1702 County Road, Suite A3 in Minden and do so in person. Dancing dollars will also be available for purchase during the event, and are tax deductible.

​Dance instruction is being provided by Ann’s Dance Workshop.
