Carson Valley Photo Club announces February winners

The theme for the Carson Valley Photo Club's February contest was Raptors and Ranches

There were 15 entries that were judged and critiqued by Chuck Diephuis.

Nancy Hulsey took first place with a photo of a steely-eyed hawk.

Robin Richardson Grueninger took second place with an image of an old wagon with a viewpoint of sitting on the ground looking through the spokes of the wheels at it.

Third place was taken by Suzie Zimmerli with a rendering of a water tower poking through the trees.

All of the winners were also presented with picture frames, donated by Marv's Custom Framing in Gardnerville.

The club welcomes new members of all ages and skill levels. It is a club centered on skill improvement, friendly competition and meeting new friends.

It meets 6:30 p.m. the second Tuesday of each month Carson Valley United Methodist Church, 1375 Centerville Lane in Gardnerville.
