The American Cancer Society ‘Bark For Life’ invites all dog, cat and other pet owners to have their pet’s picture taken with Santa on Saturday.

Photos with Santa are 11 a.m.-4 p.m. at the Pet Station, 1362 Highway 395, unit B in Gardnerville (next to Pizza Hut).

“We ask for a $10 donation to benefit the American Cancer Society,” organizers said. “You will get a jpeg file and release form emailed to you of your pet with Santa so you can go to your favorite store and make prints, Christmas cards, gifts, or to share on social media. Children and family are welcomed to come get your picture taken with Santa and your pet as well. We ask that all pets are current on their shots and be on a leash.”

Donations for the Douglas County Animal Care and Services are also being accepted.

“If you bring some pet food, blankets, toys, bowls, leashes, etc. to donate, we will add a free 4 X 6 photo of your pet to bring home, in addition to your jpeg file picture,” organizers said. “Thank you Pet Station for hosting our pet photo with Santa and Furalicious Pet Bakery for their homemade treats for our dogs and cats and providing candy canes for the kids.”

Bark For Life is 11 a.m.-3 p.m. June 7 in Minden Park.
