Watercolor classes

Douglas County Senior Center offers a watercolor class 9 a.m.-noon the second and fourth Thursday for all levels. Cost, $20 per class includes materials and picture to take home. Information, Lada Trimble, 882-6061.

Entertainment presented in the Carson Valley Inn’s Cabaret Lounge 6-10 p.m. Sunday- Wednesday, and 8 p.m.-midnight Thursdays and 8 p.m.-1 a.m. Friday and Saturday. Midnight Express entertains with classic rock, country rock and blues – everything from ballads to dance music today-Saturday. The Annex

Professional comedian, Kat Simmons is hosting a six-week comedy workshop 6:30-8:30 p.m. April 30-June 4 in the Annex, 1527 Highway 395, Minden. This class is not only for the aspiring comic, but anyone wanting to gain some confidence and improve their public speaking skills. This workshop culminates with a public showcase, where you are the star. This is the last class until the fall, and space is limited to 10 students. Cost is $250.
