Tigers, Senators to play Tuesday

With the league season now at its midway mark, the Douglas Tigers and Carson Senators are set to renew their basketball rivalry.

A share of first-place is at stake for the Douglas (9-6, 5-3) boys against Carson (6-2). James Herrick 14 points and 15 points for the Tigers in their 51-46 win Friday at Hug. The Tigers have won their last three games and five of six.

The Douglas girls (13-6 overall, 6-2 league) are looking for their third straight win after running past Hug, 60-21. The Tigers will need to bring their A-game against Carson (5-3).

“The atmosphere over there is always special,” coach Werner Christen said. “The only thing, I wish we were playing on a Friday. I think all game Douglas-Carson games should be played on Fridays, but even on a Tuesday night, we’ll have a good crowd.”
