JV softball club cruises past Hawks

Madi Peters struck out 15 of the 19 batters she faced Tuesday en route to a 20-0 win at home against Hug.

Peters allowed one hit and three walks during her complete game performance.

Nicole Rowe and Jordyn Pinochi each contributed three singles while Genevieve Stodieck-Dreyer had two singles and a double to lead the way offensively for the Tigers, who improved their record to 2-2 in league and 7-3 overall.

Douglas is hosting the Nicole Snyder Memorial JV Tournament on April 4-5 at Stodick Park. Reed, Wooster, Spanish Springs, North Valleys and Fallon will join the Tigers for the tournament. The Tigers are scheduled to play two games on the opening day, against Reed at 3:45 p.m. and against Wooster at 5:30 p.m.
