Douglas boys soccer set to start

Milko Vasquez will officially begin his second run as head coach of the Douglas High School boys soccer program on Aug. 4 when preseason conditioning begins.

Conditioning sessions will be held from 5-7 p.m. on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday on the school soccer field for one week leading up to the Tigers' annual Alumni Game on Aug. 11.

Douglas players from the past will face current Douglas players in the men's and women's games starting at 5 p.m.

Tryouts for the boys program will be held on Aug. 16 from 8-10 a.m. and 2-4 p.m., then on Aug. 18-19 from 3-5 p.m. The Douglas boys have a preseason scrimmage Aug. 23 at 10 a.m. at Dayton, then open their regular season on Aug. 30 at home against North Tahoe.
