Coleville splits league games

Stephanie Sandoval and Nicole Smith combined to score 29 points and grab 18 steals Friday night for the Coleville High girls basketball team in its 45-16 Western Division IV victory at home against Whittell. Coleville (6-3 overall, 1-1 league) outscored Whittell 14-3 in the second quarter to take charge of the contest. Sandoval had 16 points and 10 steals to lead the Wolves, while Smith contributed 13 points, 8 steals and 8 rebounds. The Wolves had 26 steals as a team.
