The Coleville High girls basketball team split four games this past weekend during the Comstock Classic.
Coleville capped its weekend on Saturday with a 31-30 win against Wells. The Wolves took a 17-8 halftime lead then held on for the win.
Miranda Sturdivant scored 13 points and Stephanie Sandoval 10 to lead the Wolves.
Friday morning, Shaylor McCann scored 10 points to lead a balanced attack in Coleville’s 44-25 win against Round Mountain. Sandoval also scored 8 points and Nicole Smith 7 for the Wolves, who had eight different players reach the score column.
Later in the afternoon, Coleville lost to defending Division IV state champion Eureka 59-14. Sandoval had 6 points and McCann 7 rebounds for the Wolves.
Eureka (7-1) lost its final tournament game, 51-47, on Saturday against Pahranagat Valley (7-0) in a rematch of the 2013 state championship game. Eureka won that state championship game, 48-30.
The Wolves opened on Thursday with a 59-17 loss against Battle Mountain, a playoff qualifier last season.
Aide Merito led the Wolves with 6 points. Smith pulled down 7 rebounds.
Coleville returns to action on Friday when it hosts Western Division IV rival Whittell. The varsity girls play at 6 p.m., followed by the boys game at 7:30.
