The family of a 17-year-old Gardnerville Ranchos girl is seeking the public’s help in locating their missing daughter.
Robert and Cassey Davis believe Rebecca Davis — also known as Becca — ran away Tuesday with her brother from their Dean Drive home.
Becca is 5 feet, 6 inches tall, slight build with brown hair.
According to family members, she and her brother spent Tuesday night in an empty doghouse in a yard on Arrowhead Drive.
The boy returned home Wednesday.
He told family members he fell asleep at 11 p.m. Tuesday, and when he awoke at 2 a.m. Wednesday, Rebecca was gone. She took two bags of clothes and her brother’s pocketknife.
He said his sister told him she wanted to go to Alaska to find her mother.
The Davises asked that anyone with information contact them at (530)386-3230.
They have filed a report with the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office.
