The RC Morning Report for June 20

The low temperature on the bench in Genoa hit 37 on this last morning of spring. It’s 35 degrees out in the middle of the Valley, which is a lot closer to the record low for Minden of 33 degrees set in 1995.

Douglas County commissioners will consider the first area plan for Stateline today since the TRPA approved its update back in December. A plan for the rest of Douglas at Lake Tahoe is in the works. Commissioners meet at 1:30 p.m. at the Tahoe Transportation Center.

Thirsty Third Thursday Wine Walk through Gardnerville is 4:30-7:30 p.m. today. Register at the Gardnerville Town Office or the Stratton Center. Cost is $5 for a glass and $10 to register. Today’s featured wine is from the Columbia Gorge.

Expect mild weather today with a high temperature of 74 under sunny skies. The wind will pick up to 5-10 mph out of the west this afternoon.
