The Douglas High School softball team split two games on Day 2 and split another two on Day 3 of the Victory Tournament in Sacramento over the weekend. Douglas opened Friday with a 3-2 win over Franklin and lost to Ponderosa 8-7. The Lady Tigers finished pool play in second place. On Saturday, the Tigers fell to St. Francis 8-3 in the first round of elimination before rebounding to defeat Christian Brothers 5-4. Against Franklin, Kali Sargent picked up the win in her first career varsity start, striking out one, walking none and scattering eight hits in the complete game. …
